Pain Management Case series
“The Case Discussion Seminars, are designed to familiarize health care workers to alternate and advanced methods of treatment currently being used to manage patients that have specific problems. It provides some learning points that can be adopted to treat patients with similar conditions and complications. The speakers will provide discussions on the current state of the art methods that have been proven to be useful in their practice. This seminar will be dedicated to management of pain in patients suffering from traumatic wounds acquired during the recent conflict. Please join us and bring your questions to our discussion group”
Dr. Viken L Babikian was born in Beirut, Lebanon, and graduated from the American University of Beirut School of Medicine. After completing his training at the University of Chicago Hospitals and the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, he joined the Department of Neurology at Boston University School of Medicine, where he is a Professor of Neurology. Dr. Babikian is a clinician and researcher. He has published four textbooks and 150 research papers and book chapters in the field of stroke.
Dr Babikian is also the President of the Stroke Initiative Advisory Task Force for Armenia (SIATA).
Bella Grigoryan, MD,PHD, works for the University Hospital of Yerevan since 1999 doing EMG/EP and Neurology Consultations. She has graduated Yerevan State Medical University in 1986, was trained in Neurology in the National Institute of Health , started her work at the municipal hospital in Vanadzor and have had two Fellowships in 1990, 1992 in Columbia Presbiterian Medical Center in New York at the departments of Neuromuscular Diseases, Rehabilitation and in the EMG lab. She is the country representative in the European Academy of Neurology. For many years she actively works as a practicing doctor, as an educator and as a member of numerous charity projects.
